What is GOTS? The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fiber which includes ecological and social criteria applied to the entire textile supply chain – including our screen prints – and is backed up by independent certification.
BLACK STAR is one of the first textile printers in Europe to be awarded GOTS certification. This means that not only are our T-shirts certified organic, but also that we can print shirts with GOTS approved printing inks and the whole process is certified.
These GOTS approved textile printing inks are still in their initial-use phase. For technical reasons, it is not yet possible for every design to be printed using GOTS certified inks. So please send us your design by email when requesting a price estimate.

With GOTS every step of the production chain is controlled. If you would like to sell textiles bought from us with the GOTS certification or use the GOTS logo on your website, there are a few things that need to be observed and documented. We advise you to speak with us and we can help.
